Subgroup analysis of the association between waist circumference and the risk of cognitive impairment stratified by sex, expressed as adjusted odds ratio and 95% CI. The waist circumference was divided into five groups based on the sample size in each group. Cognitive impairment was screened as AD-8 ≥ 2. The statistics were performed using logistic regression models, adjusting for age, sex, education level, marital status, income status, stroke history, and scores of instrumental activities of daily living and Geriatric Depression Scale-15.
